Change?

Not long  ago I read a joke ... It said all the politicians running  for president are promising change to the American people. 

We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and  they send us the change. 

Funny?

Not  really; there is too much truth in it to be funny. 

That got me to thinking ... They all promise change.  How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather  than change.

A restoration that would take us back  in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and  life was more enjoyable.
Change?

That, in truth, is  what they have been giving us all along.

• We used to  have a strong dollar .. Politicians changed that. 
• Marriage used to be sacred .. Politicians are  changing that.
• We used to be respected around the  world ... Politicians changed that.
• We used to have  a strong manufacturing economy ... Politicians changed that. 
• We used to have lower tax structures ... Politicians  changed that.
• We used to enjoy more freedoms ...  Politicians changed that.
• We used to be a large  exporter of American made goods ... Politicians changed  that.
• We used to teach patriotism in schools ...  Politicians changed that.
• We used to educate  children in schools ... Politicians changed that.
• We  used to enforce LEGAL citizenship ... Politicians changed  that.
• We used to have affordable food & gas  prices ... Politicians changed that, too. ... and one could  go on and on with this list.

What hasn't been  changed, politicians are promising to change that as well,  if you will elect them.

When, oh when, is America  going to sit back with open eyes and look at what we once  were and where we have come and say, enough is enough? 

The trouble is, America's youthful voters today  don't know of the great America that existed forty and fifty  years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed,  as it is now.

When will we wake up? Tomorrow may  be too late. When will America realize ... Politicians are  what is wrong with America ?

What is needed  is for the constitution to be amended to limit all Senators  and Representatives to TWO terms in office like the  president.

Oh, by the way, no big pension either,  social security just like the rest of us.

Being a  politician shouldn't be a persons life work but rather a  call to service then back to being an honest hard working citizen.

Obama in L.A.: 'You ain't seen nothing yet'

The president, speaking to a dinner that included Hollywood A-listers like Kiefer Sutherland, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg, lauded the legislation he has signed since taking office but added that he is "not satisfied." "I'm confident in the future, but I'm not yet content," Obama said. The celebrity dinner, which cost couples $30,400 to attend, was followed by a larger, lower-dollar concert that all told raised between $3 million and $4 million for the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Joining the celebrities feting Obama were Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and Republican-turned-Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.), "the newest member of our caucus." Obama was introduced by Dreamworks CEO and longtime Democratic donor Jeffrey Katzenberg. The president thanked Katzenberg, saying: "If it weren't for you, we would not be in the White House." The trip here came on the heels of a fundraising jaunt to Las Vegas to raise about $2 million for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), according to aides. The president, while seeking to bolster his record as president so far, warned both audiences that significant challenges lie ahead. At the concert, headlined by Jennifer Hudson and Earth, Wind and Fire, Obama responded to an audience member yelling, "Yes we can" by saying, "Yes we have. But we've got more work to do. We can't rest on our laurels. "We didn't ask for the challenges that we face, but we don't shrink from them either," he said. "It won't be easy. There will be setbacks. It will take time." The president conceded that his administration "had our fits and starts." "I've made some mistakes, and I guarantee you I'll make some more," he said. But Obama said in promising to continue to work hard, "Los Angeles, you ain't seen nothing yet." Obama also lauded Judge Sonia Sotomayor, his pick to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice David Souter, repeating his line that she has more experience than anyone currently sitting on the bench when they were nominated. He joked at the second fundraiser that she graduated summa cum laude, "not just magna or laude laude, but summa cum laude." Obama is scheduled to leave for Washington early Thursday morning.

Can someone please tell me what this man has done to warrant a statement such as “You ain’t seen nothing yet.” And, did anyone ever teach the man grammar?  Or are we supposed to just let the President of the United States proliferate bad language and set a really wonderful example for our youth? I can’t wait for the “yo, hommie” to come out of his mouth. So, tell me.  What exactly has he done?  He says he “would put these first four months up against any prior administration since FDR.  Wow, Obamma, you really got that right! What has he done except: 1. Crash the stock market causing you, me, and everyone you know with a retirement account to lose more than half of their life savings? 2. Take over banks, shut down brokerage houses, and now, taking over the entire Auto industry? 3. Has put the country so deep in debt that we will never get out? 4. Promoted communism and socialism in almost every word he utters? 5. Reduced our military strength in the world by appeasing people like the nut in Iran? 6. Made a complete mockery out of the election system by not producing his proof of citizenship. 7. Shut down car dealerships owned by known conservative contributors and otherwise put families out of business Where is the money?  Where are all of the jobs he was going to create?   Instead, he has systematically torn apart our way of life by killing capitalists right in their tracks. I mean, how much further can we go with this until we wake up? I am living the dream all right.  A nightmare is more like it. God save America.
