"I wish we would say, 'We won and we are going home.' We shouldn't be there. Bombing isn't a way of changing people's minds. You do that with education."
Bush lacks a true understanding of the world, Turner said.
"We had a president of the United States who had been out of the country but once before he was elected," he said.
He added, "And this guy has his finger on the nuclear trigger, too -- reformed alcoholic, nothing wrong with that."
Now Ted. Where do we begin. You are ABSOLUTELY correct when you say we can't afford the war in Iraq. Iraq is an expensive mission. And it is one that we didn't ask for. However, we are there, and to leave now would mean that all of what we spent would be completely wasted -- and we are not just talking about money here. Lets talk about the American lives that we spent. That is the biggest expense of all. While nobody wants to see our boys and girls killed in action, it is a necessary expense of the cost of freedom. We have fought wars for 250 years....and we will fight wars far into the future of this country.
Ted. Bombing isn't a way of changing people's minds. You are right about that, again! However, when you are dealing with an enemy, whose sole purpose on life is to kill Christians, I don't think you are going to get them in a classroom.
We are not bombing Iraq, Teddy. We are bombing the insurgency...you know, the bad guys. That's what you do in war, you kill the enemy. After all, didn't the USA fight to free your Jewish ass back in 1942? Was it ok then?
"Bush lacks the true understanding of the world," he says. Oh, ok. You are right. And Bill Clinton was so worldly. In fact, Bill was so traveled that he avoided the draft and burned the American flag while traveling to England. And, he is best friends with Charlie Tree, head of the Chinese Mafia. And, he knows people in far off worlds who can pop a cap in Ron Brown's head while his plane was nose diving into the side of a mountain in Bosnia (Read http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/CRASH/BROWN/brown.html for the true story of Bill Clinton's Commerce Secretary) . And, speaking of head, he knows a really nice Polish girl who gives great ....
The liberals amaze me. How easy it is to deflect, rape, and otherwise distort the truth for their own psychotic panoramas. Say what ever you want, when ever you want -- That's the Liberal Way.
I met Ted Turner in 1996 at Rock Center in NYC. He is a mild mannored guy. Very stately. And in those 5 minute I spent in the lobby talking with him, I realized that his head was in Turnerland, where little elves run around taking care of the world. Ted, the reality here buddy is that the left wing radical Muslims want your blood, my blood, and everyone who bares the name "American." What part of that don't you understand?
"We had a president of the United States who had been out of the country but once before he was elected," he said.
Gee Ted. The first 30 presidents of the USA barely made it out of the country. Were they all idiots too?
