Dear Sean Penn,

I am very happy for you sir, that you continue to exercise your first amendment rights, those very rights which are being fought for over in Iraq -- you know, the men and women giving their lives to provide you with the freedoms you so enjoy.

I hope that your most recent visit to Venezuela was relaxing, and your time spent with Hugo Chavez was enlightening.

It was so nice to see that you and Hugo share so many things in common -- love of fine wine, a good cigar, and hatred of the United States of America and its president, George W. Bush.

I mean, after all, Hugo did refer to Mr. Bush as "The Devil" not too long ago!  Wow, what a character that Hugo is!

Just in case you were not aware, we have this thing called "Treason."  Can you spell that, Sean?  T-R-E-A-S-O-N.  Perhaps putting it to the music of "Respect" by Aretha Franklin (1967) will help you to remember how to spell it.

In most civilized countries, Treason is punishable by death.  I think I remember reading someplace too in US History that it also has been treated as a death crime.

In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation.  And, with comments you were quoted as speaking to Hugo, I don't see how any educated American can refute that those comments were in fact treasonous.

Here is a quote from the AP:

Enlivened by his conversations with Penn, the socialist president lambasted the U.S. government for "destroying the world" with war and warned of brewing economic troubles, saying Washington should do much more for its own poor.

"There could be a revolution there," Chavez said. "We'll help them. The United States must be helped because the United States is going to implode."

Well, Mr. Penn.  The only thing that is going to implode is your career, as far as I can see.

What's Wrong America?  Why is this bum not being arrested and shot for Treason against his country?  I think a unified call to the nation's top law officials is in need at this time to make an example of Mr. Penn.

If you feel as strongly as I do about Mr. Penn, and want to take action, please use the following text to either email the Attorney General of the United states at AskDOJ@usdoj.gov or print and mail to:

U.S. Department of Justice

BEGIN LETTER_________________________________________

Dear Mr. Gonzalas,

I feel that the recent visit to Venezuala by Mr. Sean Penn of Hollywood fame and his disloyalty to his country, should be grounds for his arrest and detention for Treason against the people of the United States, and the United States of America.

How can you sit back and let Mr. Penn continue to influence foreign enemy governments in the fashion that he has?  There is no question that his dealings with Mr. Hugo Chavez are nothing more than treasonous to the United States of America.

I am asking that you take immediate action against Mr. Sean Penn and arrest him immediately for Treason.

Thank you,

YOUR NAME HERE
